Emerald Cup 2014 bodybuilding

We just got back from the Emerald Cup in Bellevue, Wa.  It was a really great show with bodybuilding, figure, physique and women's powerlifting.  Here is one shot of Physique amateur champion Natasha Grow. We worked with her the day after the competition at the David Barton Gym which was an awesome place to shoot!

 Theresa Ivancik pictured below also shot some photos and video with us during the Arnold weekend.  Although she was just attending and not competing she was in super shape and beautiful in this "Goddess" gown....Theresa will be competing very soon in Pittsburgh so she can qualify for National bodybuilding competitions.  Theresa is also super strong with some extremely impressive lifts in the gym such as 455 Lb. Squats and 100 Lb. Dumbell chest presses.  That is impressive!!

Arnold Sports Festival

Muscle Angels is getting ready to go to Columbus Ohio for the annual Arnold Sports Festival.  Although they made the disappointing decision to EXCLUDE Female Bodybuilding from the Ms. International professional event as well as the Arnold Amateur event, we are still going to do some shoots with some of the attendees.  This show draws thousands of people from around the world to compete in and spectate events such as: Bodybuilding, Gymnastics, Fencing, Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Arm Wrestling and more.
On some of the Facebook posts I've been reading lately people are very upset about FBB not being part of the show and it having been replaced with "Pole Dancing".  Well, the event is called "Pole Fitness" and actually is quite amazing to watch.  While it is unfortunate that the promoters of the event decided to drop FBB for the time being, I think Pole Fitness is something I may need to go see...maybe take a few shots and some video:)  I've watched it before and it really is elegant and beautiful and the women performing have great strength and nicely toned bodies.  So there, that's about it...off I go to shoot some muscle girls!

Jenni and Nuriye get sweaty and pumped as hell during this bicep workout...we shot them together a couple weeks ago and they were amazing!  Jenni was so sore the next day because of the super intense high reps along with pumping and flexing their biceps.

Backstage at Tampa Pro. Female bodybuilders and Physique Women pump up!

We send a small sponsorship to a couple of Pro bodybuilding shows; Tim Gardner hosts the Tampa Pro as well as the Chicago Pro.  As some of you may know, the Pro Women's Bodybuilding shows are becoming few and far between.  We feel it is necessary to support these two shows as Tim and others work very hard to keep the FBB's included. Many of the other promoters are dropping Women's Bodybuilding altogether. We were fortunate to be allowed backstage to film some of the pump-room action!  As I mentioned on this YouTube clip, most if not all of our backstage video has live sound but this particular footage was edited with music because we had some audio problems with our equipment temporarily (operator error!)  Sorry about that!  Hope you enjoy it anyway.  Featured in the clip is Lyris Cappelle, Tina Chandler, Ida Sefland and Dana Lynn Bailey.
